Blue Ridge Area Health Education Center is proud to announce a new service called the
Rural Georgia Broadband Network
This service is available to all ELIGIBLE* health care providers in Georgia. Utilizing the Federal Communication Commission’s Rural Healthcare Program, the Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF), the Rural Georgia Broadband Network is a consortia of health care providers which enables rural and urban facilities to take advantage of Federal subsidies on broadband services and equipment.

Who Qualifies?
- Must be Non-Profit
- Rural/Urban Hospitals
- Health Departments
- Rural Health Clinics
- Mental Health Clinics
- Rural/Urban Community Health Centers/FQHCs
- Post-Secondary Educational Institutions (teaching hospitals and medical schools)
What Services Qualify?
- Broadband Services – Monthly recurring charges
- Network equipment including routers and switches – purchased or leased
- Installation
Security – Firewalls & Intrusion Prevention Systems

What We Do
- Act as the Consortium Leader
- All Administrative functions including RFP development, bid review, invoicing
- All FCC forms submission to obtain subsidy
