Georgia HOSA

HOSA is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Occupations Education Division of the ACTE. HOSA’s mission is to provide students opportunities to develop as a leader and a future employee. Through its network of state and local chapters, HOSA provides instructional tools, recognition, leadership, scholarship, and networking to the healthcare industry.

In 2000, Blue Ridge AHEC with the Georgia Department of Education was instrumental in the establishment of making HOSA a reality in Georgia. Since then, Blue Ridge AHEC has helped coordinate the Fall Leadership Conference, State Leadership Conference, and provided scholarships for students to attend National Conferences.
