Student rotations give students the opportunity to study health care professionals as they work in a health care environment while under the supervision of an instructor from an accredited university or college. Rotations are arranged by your university or college and may be from one week to nine weeks in duration.
- Complete the online Floyd Medical Student Profile Form.
- Watch the online Floyd Orientation Slideshow Presentation and then fulfill Floyd’s education requirement by completing the online Non-Employee Orientation Quiz and submit a passing score of 85. The orientation quiz consists of 50 questions. Please allow 30 - 60 minutes to complete the course.
- Download and complete the Student Rotation packet.
- Obtain a copy of a current Background check and immunization records, unless on file with your college or university.*
*If you are a student with Georgia Highlands College, Shorter University, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, or JSU you will NOT need to send your immunization records or background check. They are provided by your school.
- Fax completed Student Rotation packet, immunization records, and background check to Blue Ridge AHEC at 866.521.1542. If you have any questions please call Michelle Evans at 706.509.5136 or 706-676-8797.

You and/or your instructor will be notified by a Blue Ridge AHEC Representative when your requirements have been fulfilled and you have received approval. Once approval has been received, you will need to go to Floyd’s Security Department, located on the 1st floor of Floyd Medical Center (directly across from pharmacy), 304 Turner McCall Blvd., Rome, GA 30165 to obtain your student badge. They are open Monday-Friday for 8am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
